A woman is in custody following an alleged stabbing in Woodlake Park, Ellenbrook in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident occurred in a carpark off Bronzewing Avenue where it appears the homeless couple were staying in a white campervan.
Neighbours reported hearing alleged fighting between the couple and called police, who apparently did not attend until many hours after the calls were made.
The homeless couple have a history of unruly late-night altercations, but repeated reports by local residents failed to have the matter dealt with.
Local resident Danielle Muir said, ‘This is on WAPOL and sadly could have been prevented. There were hours of altercations and erratic and dangerous driving all reported to WAPOL.’
The exact condition of the man is unknown at this stage, but he is believed to be stable.
