Road Closure – Millhouse Rd
So many have seen the LED road signs on Millhouse near the roudabout at Chateau place stating road close from 30th January to 24th February and have asked questions.
I have just now received a response from Water Corp as it is their project ( Bullsbrook – Ellenbrook waste water pipeline)
Millhouse will be closed between Chateau Place and Holdsworth Avenue from 30th January and will re open on
Monday 27th February.
This will have a significant impact to many residents even more so whilst Egerton is still closed.
Q will the road closure be only during the day or will it be 24/7
A works will involve open trenching during the day , however a full closure is required so they can complete the work safely and the quickest way possible to get Millhouse road operational.
Q are you aware of the current road works on Egerton that is diverting traffic onto Millhouse with many of these then going in an Eastern direction.
A question was not answered ( but if they didn’t know before they do now)
Q given the current impact with the Egerton road works which has the road closed until the 5th Feb – could the Millhouse road closure be delayed by 1 week – i.e so there is no overlap
A there is a possibility of this being a week later just waiting for the contractor to confirm.
Q will the roundabout at Millhouse and Chateau be open
A yes but you will only be able to turn left from Chateau onto Millhouse.

Road closure – Millhouse Road
Yesterday I posted to advise everyone that Millhouse road was to be closed from 30th January to 27th February due to Water Corp waste water upgrade.
This being closed at the same time as Egerton road being closed was going to be a nightmare with many comments rightly so about this.
I mentioned that I had requested to Water Corp whether the project could be delayed a week to allow for Egerton road to be reopened.
I am happy to advise that I just received written confirmation that Water Corp have agreed to push the works back to the 13th Feb. This will be the earliest date they will now commence.
Water Corp have also advised that they will “keep across the City’s work at Egerton and Gnangara Rd.
The VMB signs on the roads should be updated by the end of the day.
