Ellenbrook Community Soccer & Netball Tournament back after seven years break.

The Ellenbrook community Soccer & Netball tournament has been revived after a break of about 7-years, since it was held previously in the spirit of community, togetherness, and charity. It will be held at the grounds of St. Helena of Holy Cross Catholic School, ELLENBROOK.

Teams for Soccer will feature 12 Parishes across Perth, including St. Helena of Holy Cross, Ellenbrook which is also the organising committee. Netball teams are also being arranged and will feature approximately six (6) teams with numbers yet to be confirmed dependent on interest. Entry fee for players is only $10/player with funds to be handed to your respective Parish prior to registrations closing.

It is an Adults tournament so players will need to be at least 16 years of age to compete, although consideration will be given to an under 16’s team should numbers permit.

Spectators are welcome and are warmly encouraged to help support your Parish and also to cheer on all those competing.

Both Soccer & Netball will be 5-a-side teams on the field at any one time. Registrations for teams will close late August to enable the organising Committee to finalise events. Please note, the number of of players within each Parish team is limited to about 10 per sporting team so whilst substitutions and rotations are unlimited, interested players are encouraged to contact their Parish and nominate their registration early to avoid disappointed.

Games will consist of a round-robin tournament with the two (2) highest ranked teams having a Final to announce a winner.

Opportunities for small value sponsorships are available such as presenting trophies, having your business signage displayed and those who do donate towards this tournament would be greatly appreciated. In addition, there will be some collectibles on offer to bid for should you wish to, and also a raffle support our fundraising.

Furthermore, there are opportunities for volunteers to be involved in roles such as being a referee, linesperson or other duties.

As detailed in the 2016 National Catholic Census Project during the period 2011-2016, Ellenbrook experienced the highest growth of Catholic numbers in WA due in no doubt mainly to the tireless efforts of our truly amazing and incomparably compassionate Parish Priest in Father Bona who is also on the Committee.
