Located near Whiteman Park Station, getting the train (followed by a short bus ride) to Pinelli Estate Winery is far better than driving, and it means you can properly enjoy a tasting session of their award-winning wines. They also serve up an excellent, modern menu for lunch from Wednesday-Saturday, and dinner on Saturday nights.
Whiteman Park
This expansive park is the pride of Caversham and a must-visit for families and outdoor lovers. A day trip destination all in its own right, you’ll find an array of attractions like the Motor Museum, the historic Bennett Brook Railway, bushwalking trails teeming with wildlife, playgrounds and endless picnic spots.

Slate Cafe
Slate Cafe is truly magical. Featuring an expansive outdoor area, there is heaps of space for kids to live their best lives. The Ellenbrook Line’s summer opening is perfect timing for trips to its popular Rainbow Waters Playground. One of the largest water playgrounds in Perth, there are also BBQ’s, picnic tables, shaded areas and toilets making it a great spot for a day out with the little ones.
Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm
Get up close with cute and cuddly creatures at this family-friendly animal farm. You’ll find a bunch of unique characters including Pearl the Clydesdale horse, Sam-mule the miniature mule and Pippa the milking goat. That’s not to mention the chickens, ducklings, turkeys, roosters, guinea pigs, alpacas, ponies… the list goes on! There’s also an onsite cafe for a quick bite to eat and coffee.
